  • What’s your response time if we have an IT issue?
    If you read any of our Google Reviews or testimonials, they all say the same thing— our response time is ridiculously fast. The average time is 13 minutes. If it’s a critical issue, our response is immediate. You NEVER wait hours, days, or weeks.
  • How long have you been in business?
    Encompass IT was formed in July of 2017 with the merger of two well established IT companies.
  • Do you require a long term contract?
    We do not. Typically, we start with a 1-year contract. After the initial year we extend the offer to our clients to move to a longer-term contract.
  • Do you work with regulated industries?
    We do. We have clients with PCI, HIPAA, CMMC, FINRA, ABA compliance requirements and more.
  • What types of cyber security protections do you include?
    Our base-level of cyber security includes email security, cyber education for your staff, MFA, firewall alerting, antivirus, and EDR antivirus. If you have a regulated compliance, we add multiple other layers of security based on the standard.
  • What industries do you have experience with?
    We work with multiple non-profit organizations, law firms, construction companies, health/dental practices, manufacturing companies, and financial firms.
  • Do you help with IT budgeting and planning?
    Absolutely! We include at least 1 hour of VCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer) time each month with our clients for reviewing service delivery and projects. We also do annual business reviews with each of our clients to plan IT budgets.
  • Can you provide client references?
    We sure can. We’ll send you a few references for your review.
  • What’s your process for handling emergencies or outages?
    The proper way to start is by having an Incident Response Plan in place prior to having an emergency! This way, Encompass IT knows who to contact, when, and how to mitigate the emergency properly. During an emergency, immediate response is based on the IR Plan. It’s all hands on deck and we communicate, communicate, communicate, until the incident is resolved.
  • What’s included in your monthly service agreement?
    Encompass IT curates a service plan based on your company's individual needs. We start with how your infrastructure is set up. Is your IT infrastructure on-premise, cloud based, or hybrid? How much support do you need? We’ve heard some companies tell us they rarely call their IT vendor. Do you need a fully managed engagement? Maybe your company just needs a few hours of support each month. Lastly, what type of business do you have— do you need a base security package or is your company more regulated? Bottom line: we don’t offer Bronze, Silver, Gold packages. Most companies are unique, we base your support on that.
  • Who will we work with? I don’t want a different tech every time we need help.
    Encompass IT is a small (under 20 employees) IT company. We're super tight knit, team oriented, organized, and always communicating. Each of us knows everything there is to know about each of our clients, and we use a documentation platform to take notes and pictures of our client’s IT infrastructure. As a client of Encompass IT, you will never run into a situation where you reach out for support and the assigned tech doesn’t know who you are or doesn’t know/understand your IT infrastructure. It just doesn’t happen.
