Our Story
Encompass IT Solutions was formed in July 2017 when Computer Port USA Inc. of South Windsor, Connecticut, merged with our Manchester-based team. This merger brought together deep expertise in enterprise-grade cybersecurity and IT support services, creating a stronger foundation to serve businesses throughout New England.

Since then, we’ve been proudly supporting local businesses across Connecticut and Massachusetts, delivering reliable, forward-thinking IT solutions across a wide range of industries. Meet the Team

Jimmy Erickson
Co-Owner
With over 25 years in IT, Jimmy Ericson has been helping small and medium businesses streamline their technology and drive growth. His journey began at Computer Port, working alongside his father, before merging with Shawn Donaldson & PC Tech to form Encompass IT seven years ago. Jimmy believes in building lasting client relationships, understanding their needs with empathy, and providing trusted, business-aligned IT solutions.
Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. He loves the outdoors, values time with friends and family, and isn’t afraid to take on the challenge of an obstacle course race.

Shawn Donaldson
Co-Owner
Shawn is the Co-Founder of Encompass IT, bringing in over two decades of experience in the IT industry. He began his journey in 2004 by founding PC Tech Service, focusing on IT solutions for small businesses and home computer repairs. As the industry evolved, he recognized the growing need for Managed Services and pivoted his business in 2016. In 2017, he led the merger of PC Tech Service and Computer Port USA, forming Encompass IT to provide businesses with comprehensive, proactive IT support.
Shawn’s favorite part of working at Encompass IT is connecting with new business owners and tailoring IT support solutions to help their businesses thrive. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, especially on family vacations. An avid hiker, he finds peace in the outdoors year-round, including winter hikes in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.

Mike Joslin
Project Manager
​Mike Joslin is a Project Manager with 8 years of experience working in information technology. He specializes in overseeing multi-step IT projects and ensuring timely project delivery while adhering to budget constraints. Mike has worked with various industries to implement the best technology solution for their company.

Bethany Donaldson
HR and Finance Manager
Bethany has been part of Encompass IT since the beginning. She takes care of our HR and Billing Departments. She ensures smooth billing operations, from handling accounts receivable to resolving discrepancies. When not balancing numbers, you’ll find her at home with her dog and family. She loves taking walks, having deep conversations and red wine.

Joshua Ericson
Account Manager
Joshua has been working in IT for 12+ years. Beginning in IT as a technician, Josh has worn many hats over the years and has most recently moved to the account management position at Encompass IT. Josh has a passion for building healthy client relationships, understanding their needs and concerns, and helping clients meet and achieve their goals. Outside of work Josh enjoys spending time with his son Cooper, learning new skills, and spending time with friends.

Blake Anderson
Tier II Help Desk Technician
Blake has been optimizing technology for small and medium businesses for over seven years. He specializes in computer networking and cybersecurity. He is committed to delivering quality, efficient solutions that drive business success.

Brian Anderson
Tier II Help Desk Technician
Brian is a Help Desk Technician at Encompass, where he began his career as an intern while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking and Cybersecurity. Brian’s interest in IT started in his teens when he began building custom PCs, and it has only grown since then. When he’s not troubleshooting technical issues, Brian spends his free time with his fiancée and their two cats.

Ed Martins
Tier I Help Desk Technician
Ed started building computers about 10 years ago, and his hobby turned into his profession. He honed his skills in various areas of IT, including network security, hardware, data management, and customer service. Ed enjoys learning as much as he can in a constantly developing field and leveraging technology to solve complex problems.

Dominique Mips
Service Coordinator
Dominique is an experienced Service Coordinator with a strong background in communication and client services. With over 10 years of experience in customer service and a proven track record at an MSP, Dominique excels in managing client relationships and ensuring seamless service delivery. She holds multiple communication certifications and her expertise in quality control ensures that all interactions meet high standards of professionalism and accuracy, making her a reliable point of contact for clients seeking effective solutions. ​In her free time, Dominique enjoys diving into different worlds through fantasy books and video games, where immersive stories and thrilling adventures help her relax and recharge.

Becca McCord
Marketing Coordinator
Becca is an experienced communications professional who enjoys bringing her creative and strategic skills to the table as Encompass IT’s Marketing and Sales Coordinator. Holding a B.A. in Media & Communications, Becca coordinates social media outreach, web design, customer relationship management tools, and content creation. She enjoys finding new ways to make the Encompass brand stand out. Outside of work, Becca likes spending time with her family and pets and writing music.
